It’s finally sorted out — I have the webcam back on my computer! Tried for the longest time to avoid calling Dell and tried the user forums instead. Downloaded some file that they recommended but when that didn’t help, today I finally mustered up all my patience and called them.

Garlic fingers is an Atlantic Canadian dish, much similar to a pizza in shape and size, and made with the same type of dough.
Instead of the traditional tomato sauce and toppings, it is garnished with melted butter, garlic and cheese. Seasonings, like parsley, may also be added.
It is often eaten as a side dish with pizza, dipped in donair sauce. Instead of being cut in triangular slices, they are presented in thin strips, or “fingers”.
It can be topped with bacon bits and is often eaten with donair sauce.

In my previous post, I made some remark about sense of community … in Tumblr, and perhaps the lack thereof in Posterous. A few minutes after I’d done that, I came across THIS! :)
Whoever started it, it’s a great initiative.

If you were with us last week, you witnessed a mighty battle between our two winning browsers from an earlier poll, Firefox and Chrome. Almost 9,000 votes later, Firefox emerged victorious and took the crown for Favorite Mashable Browser.
Earlier this week we kicked off a new Faceoff, this time pitting Tumblr against Posterous for the simple blogging service crown. We have the winner of this contest now, drumroll please…
) ended up taking the title in a relatively close race with 51% of the vote. Many of you cited the community surrounding Tumblr as a great reason to use the tool, and many in the Posterous (
) camp said the simplicity of posting by email was unbeatable.
Still, in the end Tumblr came out on top with 1809 votes to Posterous’s 1496 (42%). The remainder of the voters couldn’t decide, with 256 or 7% reporting being unable to choose a victor.
Thanks for tuning in to the second in our Faceoff series. Be sure to check back on Monday for the next round of dueling web services!

- Mozilla Firefox () vs. Google Chrome (
)
- WINNER: Firefox (), 4600 votes (Chrome (
): 3310 votes, Tie: 911 votes)
Week 2:
- Tumblr vs. Posterous
- WINNER: Tumblr, 1809 votes (Posterous: 1496 votes, Tie: 256 votes)
I read here that many stated the sense of community in Tumblr. That I can understand. We don’t have much of that here in Posterous, that I know of. In that case it has eluded me completely.
